Alex Luswa Luwemba, also called Muhammad, was among the many individuals who didn’t settle for their loss within the NUP primaries to Nalukoola.
He went forward and contested independently. However, issues didn’t go nicely for him within the Thursday elections.
Alex Luswa polled solely 240 votes and emerged fourth within the by-election, dropping to NUP’s Nalukoola, who polled 17,764.
Luswa conceded defeat by his social media, congratulated Nalukoola, and prayed for higher management by him.
“Fair Game! God’s will has prevailed. Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola, I wholly congratulate you upon the landslide victory. The winner takes it dwelling, and that is how Democracy works. For the betterment of our constituency, could Allah (swt) information you in your management. Ameen,” he wrote on his social media.
Alex Luswa was the political assistant to the late Muhammad Segirinya and believed he might have been given the chance to perform the late’s manifesto.
