Chief Muzukulu and supporter of Ugandan music Hajjati Namyalo Hadijja has cautioned artists in opposition to misusing funds obtained from the federal government by the federation.
She emphasised that these funds come from taxpayers and that affiliation leaders will likely be required to account for them.
“That cash was allotted by parliament, and it’s taxpayers’ cash. Anyone who misuses it can face authorized motion. Leaders will likely be held accountable, and those that fail will likely be arrested,” she said in an area tv interview.
Namyalo believes it’s important to help musicians financially, however accountability should be maintained.
