National Unity Platform President and musician Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly generally known as Bobi Wine, has spent years with out staging a live performance or performing for his followers.
The singer, who was barred from performing by the federal government, says he misses the stage and longs to return to his craft.
In an interview with a neighborhood tv station, Bobi Wine acknowledged that he’s certainly one of Uganda’s most outstanding musicians and must be allowed to train his basic rights.
“I miss performing for my followers. You all know I’m one of many largest musicians within the nation and probably the most celebrated. I used to be stopped from performing and focused by the federal government, however my followers miss me. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to carry out. Even musicians who might stand with me to struggle for my freedom to carry out are as a substitute targeted on their private positive aspects and receiving handouts from the federal government,” he defined.
Bobi Wine has been barred from holding music exhibits and concert events since 2018, following a directive from the federal government by means of the Uganda Police.
